You know what’s happening... but you can’t seem to change it
Perhaps this sounds familiar...
You may understand what's happening to you, even if you've been to therapy before. And yet, you may still feel anxiety, stuck, or uneasy: thoughts that won't stop, emotions that overwhelm you, or reactions you can't control.
It's not a lack of effort. It's that what you're going through needs to be addressed at a deeper level. Many people who come to therapy are experiencing:
- Intense or prolonged anxiety.
- Depressive states or a sense of emptiness.
- Obsessive thoughts.
- Painful grief that never seems to end.
- Difficulties with emotional regulation.
- Psychological trauma or unresolved difficult experiences.
- Relationships that cause suffering or emotional dependency.
- Behaviors they feel they cannot control.
They come with symptoms that interfere with daily life and generate significant internal strain. In many of these cases, the solution to these problems doesn't come from addressing only the cognitive aspects. What's needed is psychotherapeutic work with the internal processes that maintain the distress: automatic emotional patterns, nervous system responses, unprocessed experiences (trauma), and conflicting inner parts. When these aspects are addressed in depth, the change ceases to be superficial and begins to solidify.

My approach: Integrative Psychotherapy
I am Lua Marta Sáenz del Castillo (B-1920), with over 20 years of professional experience as a clinical psychologist, and I am always engaged in ongoing training. I work from the perspective of integrative psychotherapy, specializing in trauma and complex emotional processes. I integrate models such as:
- EMDR
- Gestalt Psychotherapy
- Focusing
- IFS (Internal Family Systems)
- EFT-Tapping
- Cognitive approaches
- And other cutting-edge psychotherapeutic models.
How I work
My integrative approach allows me to address not only the symptoms, but also the underlying mechanisms. Many people have tried to change through rational understanding without achieving lasting results. This is because much of the distress isn't solely in your thoughts. It's in how your body reacts, how your nervous system regulates itself, how your emotions are triggered, and how your inner workings are organized.
Working in an integrative way at a greater level of depth is the key to a very high percentage of people undergoing therapy significantly improving or overcoming their symptoms.
There are various difficulties that often lead people to seek psychotherapy. The most common are:
- Anxiety, Distress, Obsessions, Depression, and Stress.
- Psychological Trauma and Complex Trauma.
- Eating Disorders: Obesity, bulimia, anorexia, compulsive eating.
- Psychosomatic Disorders: Hypertension, ulcers, gastritis, chronic fatigue, etc.
- Sleep Disorders.
- Addictive Behaviors.
- Sexual Difficulties: Impotence, anorgasmia, etc.
- Relationship Conflicts and Emotional Dependency.
- Family Conflicts.
- Blockages.
I also support personal development processes when there is a clinical or emotional basis that requires it.

I conduct psychotherapy sessions for adults in Spanish and English:
– Online
– In person in Palma de Mallorca
If you've been feeling unwell for a while, it's okay to ask for help.
Change is possible when you work at the right level.
Welcome to the adventure of your life.
